Prospectus

St. Xavier’s Inter College is recognized, unaided minority Hindi/ English Medium School established by The Catholic Diocese of Lucknow, a charitable and registered society registered under the Societies Registered Act XXI ,1860 on 24th Nov 1947 and administered through its Catholic Education Society which was duly registered on 4th April, 1989 No.197, 1989-1990.

St. Xavier’s Inter College, founded on 6 sept, 1976 was established by the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow with the objective of imparting modern education in the rural belt of Bakshi ka Talab. It is a minority institution, under the article 30(1) of our constitution, which carriers with it;

  • The right to establish and administer educational institutions of choice.
  • The right to constitute the managing committee according to their norms without Government interference.
  • The right to give preference to admission to the members of their own community.
  • The right to appoint the head of the institution and teachers according to their rules and regulations without the approval of the Government.
  • The right to follow their own policy with regard to admission and recruitment of staff without reserving seats as per Government Rules.

The school is situated in Bakshi-Ka-Talab, with its spacious, open and well maintained compound and is therefore, an ideal institution for parents/guardians to educate their Children. Equipped with the modern laboratories, spacious classrooms, library, extensive playground, basketball and volley ball courts, the school can be favourably compared with any reputed educational institution of Uttar Pradesh.

St. Xavier’s Inter College is under the patronage of Saint Xavier, whose feast is celebrated every year on 3rd December. It aims at the integral and all round formation of young boys and girls by giving them an education which is morally, physically and mentally sound .In keeping with the national aspirations, It helps the student to become mature, spiritually oriented and worthy citizens of India. It is a co-educational school where boys and girls grow up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality of genders, co-operation, mutual respect and healthy relationship. It envisages multifaceted personality development in a child by inculcation of physical fitness and health, competitiveness, leadership and self-expression, ideals of Indian culture through games, athletics, cultural activities/ monitorial system, dramatics, public speaking, moral and value education. Through the medium of instruction and examination in English, the school gives equal importance in all co-curricular activities to Hindi by debates, elocution, and declamation and by allotting sufficient hours of instruction to Hindi subject. It also Endeavour’s to insist school education and activities contributing to India’s cultural heritage, part of national mainstream of life and develop student as scholars, gentleman and responsible citizens of India. Above all it strives to inculate into its pupils the value of freedom and its judicious use, respect for law and order and sense of duty so as to enable them to fulfil a noble role in life. The school provides education from Pre-Primary classes to Senior Secondary (Class-IX) with the aim of presenting the student for Secondary School Examination (Class-X) and Senior Secondary School Examination (Class-XII) which is conducted by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad. A general education in all subject upto Class-X and form Class-XI the school provides P.C.M, P.C.B and commerce stream with optional subject Hindi and Computer. Besides the school also has various other programmes and extra-curricular activities which are the occasions to display the talents and capabilities of the student. The parents are required to render positive encouragement and Co-operation.

Admission

  • Generally there is no admission to other classes as children from lower are promoted and go to higher classes. However, as some vacancies may arise due to failures in lower classes or withdrawals, opportunity is provided to all those who would like to seek admission to other classes If there are vacancies in any class the same will be indicated on the NOTICE BOARD.
  • Boys and Girls seeking admission to Nursery class should have completed 3 years and 6 month on the 1st April of the academic year. A birth certificate obtained from the Nagar Mahapalika or from the Maternity Hospital or village records be presented before issuing the application form. Affidavits are not acceptable. Similarly, a Corresponding scale of the ages will be followed for admission to higher classes.
  • The registration form duly filled in and accompanied by the birth certificates should be presented to the office before admission can be considered.
  • Admission will be made as a result of the interview test depending on the number of seats available in the concerned class. Admission to higher class will be considered generally in April/July subject to the vacancies and having passed the admission test with a high percentage.
  • Admission to class XI is not automatic for those who have passed class X from this school. It depends upon the number of seats available, percentage of marks and conduct.
  • Parents/Guardians of the selected candidates for the admission are required to fill in a prescribed Admission form and submit it along with two attested Photostat copies of the birth certificate on a day mentioned on the notice board and pay the prescribed fees.
  • Student coming from another School must bring his/her certificate and the original Report Card at the time of admission. However all such students will be put to written and oral test to see the suitability to a particular class. The Principal has the right to say what conditions he will admit or retain a pupil in the class.
  • Even in the case of late admission of a pupils, the fee from the beginning of the term shall be charged.
  • Those coming from outside Uttar Pradesh should have Transfer Certificate countersigned by the competent Educational Authority of the place.
  • The very condition of admission is that the parents /guardians comply strictly with the term and rules here in stated and pay the tuition and other fees by the due date. Any future changes made in the prospectus and fees will also be binding on them.
  • THE PRINCIPAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION TO ANY BODY WITHOUT ASSIGNING ANY REASON FOR THE ACTION.
